Abstract

The astroparticle physics group at KTH in Stockholm is currently conducting precision studies of antimatter in space using the PAMELA satellite experiment. These studies may shed light on the dark matter in the Universe, as well as elucidating cosmic ray production and propagation. PAMELA was launched in June 2006 for an expected 3 year long mission. Latest results from PAMELA will be briefly discussed. In the second half of the talk, various outreach projects will be discussed which aim to bring cosmic ray research to a broader audience. These include a time synchronised network of cosmic ray detectors at Stockholm high-schools, and a educational cosmic ray detector on-board the International Space Station.
