Angular Diffraction and Angular Uncertainty

Abstract

Angular momentum and angle are related by a Fourier transformation. As a consequence, restricting the angular profile of a light beam modifies its orbital angular momentum spectrum, giving rise to an angular uncertainty relation. I will present some of our experiments on angular diffraction both for classical light beams and for entangled photon pairs generated by down-conversion.
