Abstract
Wood is a very complex material. Electrically it is an anisotropic
dielectric with different properties along and across the wood fibre.
Due to this the polarisation of an electric field is changed when
reflected against wood. We model the field with known data for wood
and also compare the model to a reflection measurement. The
objective is to study the possibilities to relate the field to
properties of wood that is interesting for the wood industry.
